#002 - El Greco & Red Lights

It’s time to introduce a character.
Alessandro, “El Greco”. 🇬🇷
One who talks a lot. One who has lived a lot.

He moves around on an electric tricycle.
He has problems with his legs, but his mind moves fast.

He speaks Italian like an Italian, southern accent.
Then I hear him speaking English, Dutch and German.
And Greek, of course. And who knows what else.

I meet him at the bar of Stayokay Oost, my first landing spot in the Netherlands.

He’s been here for 15 years, so between a beer (mine) and a whisky (his), I ask him for some advice on how to make it in Amsterdam, possibly doing something creative.

What do I do well? Photography. Erotic photography.

Well, I could do creative shoots for the girls working the Red Light windows.
Fast money. Under the table. Possibly cash. 💰

We laugh, we drink, we share a bit of our stories.

In the meantime, I keep moving forward with the standard plan…
send out CVs and get a job (at least temporarily, just to build a base).
